Quick Directory - Preface

This is the second edition of this publication. The Quick Directory is a compilation of a select group of helpful information that we hope will be a useful, handy reference for telephone/fax numbers, E-mail and Web Site addresses that you may need in a hurry.

Public Holidays

The following are public holidays under the Public General Holidays Law: 1. New Year's Day (January 1) or in case New Year falls on Sunday then the day after New Year's Day. 2. Ash Wednesday 3. Good Friday 4. Easter Monday 5. National Labour Day - May 23 provided that if May 23 falls on a Sunday, Labour Day shall be kept on the Monday following. 6. Emancipation Day - August 1 7. Independence Day - August 6 provided that if August 6 falls on a Sunday, Independence Day shall be kept on the Monday following. 8. National Heroes Day - third Monday in October 9. Christmas Day - December 25 10. Boxing Day - the day after Christmas Day. (when Christmas Day falls on a Sunday then December 26 and 27 are holidays.)
